It's Great to be Eight

My oldest boy turned 8, July 1st!
We were in Park City on a baseball tournament in July so we had to postpone Hudson's baptism. If we had done it last month Hudson would have been the only one baptized that day from our stake. Instead he was baptized with Jimmy, Baden and Noah. I think it made it even more special to be with other boys he knows who also made the decision to be baptized.

Hudson and Parks sang the musical number Choose the Right Way. Thus this song.

Hudson was blessed on his cousin Hunter's birthday and now he was baptized on his Great Grandma Leah's birthday. She passed away 6 years ago. I'm sure she was smiling down on him.

We're so proud of you Hudson!

Some of Hudson's buddies came to show their support.

Scott, Parks, Andrew, Hudson and Aaron.

My sister's family, us, my mom and my brother's family.

Great job, Hudson!

Sorry that we missed your BIG DAY but we're glad you didn't wait for us to get there from Texas.

Both you and your dad look good in white!

See you later.

Hudson, that is so cool. I hope that great mom of yours wrote down all the cool memories and happenings for your big day! It will be loads of fun to look back and read your thoughts and your mom and dad's on your baptism day.
Congrats!

We're so proud of you Hudson & Angela & Larry for being such great parents. Pop & I were glad to be able to share this special day with you. What a blessing to have so many family members there to support you...that tells you what an important day it was. You were also blessed to have your great grandfather be able to participate, wish we could have gotten a picture of you & him.

Yes, Gram I agree, it was special to have Great Grandpa Chris there. And I wanted a big group picture with everyone, but some of the family had already left by the time we all gathered outside! We couldn't even find Hud, then realized he was out in the parking lot at Grandpa's car. Then we were all spread out at Chuck-a-rama too. We are just too big of a family but that is a good thing.

Something about watching a baptism makes me all choked up. It's just such a sacred covenant that involves children. Good job Hudson! He set such a good example for my boys.
