Bear Lake Day Trip

Beautiful View! I love forests they are so peaceful. We first visited the Ice Cave. It was only 10 miles from the main road but a slow, long drive because the road was not paved.
Bottom entrance

We are standing on a pile of hard dirty snow. Earlier in the summer I bet there is a lot more of it.
Larry and Tierra on ice.
Looking out at Grandma and Logan
Hudson looking into a dark cave wondering where it leads...he's always so curious and loves to explore. He and Larry went in without a flashlight.Looking down on Hud and Larry. We climbed out the easy way and this is where their cave led them, to another opening. Which they tried to find a way to climb out. Tierra and I tried to explain it was impossible! Took a lot of convincing.
Climbing out the "normal" way.

Tierra giving me an ulcer!

Hudson again wanting to explore.

We sat at the top of the Ice Cave and watched people repelling down. One guy offered to let us go and was so excited for Hudson to do it too. But the rest of their group was not willing to let him go before they all had a turn and there was a lot of them and we wanted to head to the lake so we reluctantly left. This is something Hudson would really get into if we had the equipment to do it. I'd love it too!
It really only took 30 sec to repel down. I wasn't afraid to try at all.
Some people took about 10 min. just to dare take their first step down from the top! We watched maybe 7 people go down.

It was windy at the beach so the boys found their own "hottub" they called it.

They'd run out, get wet then run back to the hottub.

Bay watch ha ha
We rented a bike. I love these things. I laugh the whole time.We road to a park and Larry mapped out an obstacle course. My mom timed us and we took turns racing each other.

Then we road our bike to Hungry Bear pizza, another tradition. Yummy!

My kids love Parmesan cheese :)

We decided to go off course and take a hill. We all loved it & laughed our heads off, but then had to push it back up the hill. It was well worth it.

The place we used to camp years ago when Larry's cousin's family owned land. Miss it sooo much! It's a tradition to take a pic by the Indian Lady.

Hudson Celebrates turning 10 with friends

On Hudson's actual birthday he was playing baseball in Heber City at the Firecracker tournament so he didn't have a party. I was fine with that, we don't need parties and gifts EVERY yr. But he felt sad. His friends Andrew and Landon were also having birthdays so we just combined them and took all their friends (including girls this year) to the Roy Pool. (no gifts) :) Hudson has such a great group of friends and I'm so thankful for that! It's the best thing about living in South Weber.

taking a break to eat cupcakes, we bought 10 pizza's and they boys scarfed them down!
Wild tricks off the diving board
Just coming in from playing football
Hudsons best friends: Connor, Jake, Kobe, Jack, Kaydon...Don't know who the boy in the goggles is ha ha

Andrew's little brother Aaron is one of Parks' good friends from hanging out at RedHawks games together. He invited Ty also, his best friend who is also in second grade.

Nadia and Bryce tie the knot

My mother-in-law was so gracious to offer her beautiful backyard for The Bridal Shower Waiting in the SLC temple lobby

Nadia and her dad

It was the hottest day of the year I'm sure!

Boys finally stripped all the way down...guess the airconditioning wasn't reaching them on the ride home.

Chudri, Bryce, Nadia, Cynthia and Bashar

They had a photo booth but no one was there to take my pic, but this was an inside joke between Nad and I

Hudson arriving late from a swim birthday party after a baseball tounament, which they won. YAH!

I hope the bartender was keeping track of how many they have had!
