Peregrine Falcon

My family has enjoyed taking turns bringing dinner to Grandma and Grandpa Chris. They love birds. They always have a bucket of peanuts for the kids to place out on their deck, then we watch for the Bluejay to come get them. Yesterday while visiting, Grandpa took us to his computer and showed us this website he keeps on his desktop. http://www.wildlife.utah.gov/peregrine Go to camra 2 and watch these falcons who have made their nest above Temple Square, take turns sitting on their eggs. They should be hatching this weekend.

Rock On

Because the Jazz were playing last night I couldn't watch the American Idol top two results until this morning with Parks and Logan. (Logan is my singer/guitar player. Parks is my dancer.) Skrapper said he liked "the dude in the white", David Archuleta. I admit he has a beautiful voice and I cried watching him coming home to Utah and being greeted by so many fans. He is "Peachy" and I'm sure he'll make records, win or lose. Sorry, I'm not voting for the Mormon from my home state, because I'm not a "ballad" person. Therefore I LOVE David Cook! I mean I VOTE for David Cook. :) I really love his voice. He reminds me of Chris Daughtry. I believe he has more talent by the way he is able to arrange music. And I also cried at his home visit, giving flowers to his elementary music teacher. What a sweetheart! Visit my poll and lets see who you support!
P.S. When Fantasia performed, Parks said "her thinks her is awesome" then he paused, "I don't think hers awesome". He stood up and danced crazy like she was. I find it interesting that small children can detect a persons level of confidence.

Grand Slam!

Once again we spent our Saturday at Hudsons double headers. This time in Midvale. We went into these games with a 2-4 record. Hudson has never had a hit in any previous games. But his stats are still good. He's walked his fair share and he's been hit several times so I give him props for standing in there. He's one of the rotating pitchers so when he gets his turn, it really makes the games more interesting for me to watch. Saturday was an exception. Hudson didn't do so well pitching. He did however, hit everytime up to bat! I think just knowing he could boosted his confidence. His first up to bat he hit a foul ball, but way out to left field. He has some power behind that bat. Let me just say all us "moms" were surprised. Larry says he does it all the time in practice. Well practice and games are two different things. After the foul ball he hit a double. The Redhawks won their first game 21 to 6. The next game was against one of the best teams with a 6-1 record as of that morning. Let me set the scene. We are down 4 to 8. There is 5 minutes left in the game. Bases are loaded and Hudson is up to bat with 2 strikes against him. He swings, he connects, (picture above, I'm real mad I didn't have the video camra rolling) it flies out to left field, Hudson makes first base, we get a player home. The Black Sox overthrow it to third, we get another player home. Hudson advances to second, the ball is overthrown again to left field. Another player runs home, Hudson advances to third. The coach is yelling for him to run home, Hudsons running they throw the ball to the catcher who reaches out to tag Hudson at home and drops the ball. Hudson crosses home plate to tie the game 8 to 8! A Grand Slam! The whole team ran out of the dugout to congratulate him. We were going crazy in the bleachers! Hudson was beaming with excitement but still pretty modest. He had a childish grin as he gave me a "fist pound". The next picture is Hudson surrounded by some teammates after his game saving hit. Time has expired, we have the last ups so if we don't score again we'll go into overtime. No need for that we scored a run and game over 9 to 8. The Utah Redhawks are now 4-4 for the season. (you can visit their blog from my favorite people links) Gotta love America's favorite sport. Take me out to the ballgame, baby!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Right or Wrong

I've never really browsed "stranger" blogs, and as I have a little today to get some cute ideas, I realize most peoples stuff is not about family and all my stuff is. I don't want people to get the wrong impression of that. Sorry if I don't have weblinks and other fun "stuff" to amuse you. I'm a beginner blogger and maybe I eventually will have "stuff". I love seeing other peoples interesting stuff, but I'm doing this for my family and friends that don't live around here. And in return that's all I want from them is to see and hear about their family life. (hint hint you rednecks in Tennessee) And some of my friends are die-hard MY SPACE fans. And tell me I can look them up there. Not the same guys. I don't even want to go there!
And some people update and read other's blogs daily. I can't drive myself to do that either. I mainly just play around on mine and search hopefully (and in vain) for my cousins in the blogging world.
I don't know why I'm saying this. I feel like I have to apologize for not knowing the right way to blog. ha ha My life is my kids thus my kids are my life. Happy blogging.

P.S. I found Noel. She was in the Suburban all night! Don't ask me how or why. We didn't even go anywhere yesterday.

I'm stealing this from an email I received. I love it.
